For starters, both the Client and Server are now available as a flexible cross-platform solution for Windows (32bit and 64bit), Mac OS X (Intel and PPC) and Linux (32bit and 64bit). All platforms are 100% feature compatible and feature rich so regardless of which platform you use, all new features will be available across all platforms upon TeamSpeak 3's launch date. One thing I miss about AA3 is having a clan only voice channel so this new TeamSpeak could work for that. Oh i downloaded AA2.8.5 Just played on some maps but wow theres not alot of players ... not when i played anyways also the US servers have high pings for me it sucks! What i dont get is why in AA3 most of the US servers i get ok pings where as in AA2.8.5 im getting 160-250 pings!? Renting a new server I will not get a website neither Ts. Many just want to get into a large player battle soon as they log in ... they dont want to wait for the server to get busy. Also as i mentioned before theres alot less players on both versions of the game. About TS I'm not sure its needed as there are only afew active fas members. I think to save money using the steam voice makes sense. Just have 2 separate keybinds for the in game voice (aa3) and another for steam voice. Also, it looks like you can get a free license to run TeamSpeak server software so if we ever decide we need to run it we can (they have Windows, Mac, and Linux versions). Steam voice chat should work okay for private clan stuff.
